Jewel is the little sister of our special sweetheart Mr. Bojangles (same mother but other father). Bojangles is my wonderful sweetheart with a beautiful special character and I am so happy that my blue Jewel has the same character. When I saw and follow her kitten pictures I saw the same sweet look in her eyes as Bojangles. After some weeks I send a message to the breeder that I can not longer resist the sweetheart and that she can come to us. She is a wonderful sweet girl, she hugging me a whole day long and give me every day a lot of kisses. She is friends with all the Coontastic sweethearts and as she hear her name "Juweeltje" she comes running so fast as she can. Every evening when I go to bed she is around me because then she take extra time for a cuddle session. She is a little girl, the smallest female in Casa di Coontastic, but it doesn't matter to us, she has a great character and a golden heart and that is more important to us than her size. Every time when I look at her it makes me happy, and her hugs warms my heart every time. Just like her big brother, she also likes to give kisses.

In May 2017 we brought Jewel to our vet for her sterilization, we already discovered when she was home as a kitten that she had an umbilical hernia just like her brother Bojangles and this would be remedied during her sterilization. But with poor Jewel this did not go as we had expected. During her sterilization our vet discovered that her belly tissue is very bad. Just to be sure, our vet took some tissue to let it examined in the laboratory, a genetic problem emerged in the results, which may explain why her brother had the same thing. Jewel her sterilization was more complex because our veterinarian immediately wanted to strengthen her belly tissue with special stitches, so by her the normal small incision became a large one the length of her entire belly. When Jewel returned home it turned out that the recovery was not going well, she got a huge bump on her wound because her belly tissue turned out to be more worse than expected, as a result that  the stitches to the abdominal wall did not stay well. She needed a second operation, this was not a small operation because the bad tissue had to be removed, then the abdominal wall had to be strengthened and the belly muscles must be fastened. But luckily our vet did a great job, so she recovered well and had no problems with her belly anymore.
